Eastern Crowned warbler
Breeds in Amur, northeastern China and Korea, and winters in India, Bangladesh, Indochina, Malay and Sumatra. It is a common summer migratory bird living in dense forests in the lowlands.

Distribution and Habitat
Breeds in Amur, northeastern China and Korea, and winters in India, Bangladesh, Indochina, Malay and Sumatra. It is a common summer migratory bird living in dense forests in the lowlands.
Behavior
Males feed on insects as they travel through the canal layer during the breeding season. Nests are made under tree roots on the ground, but are difficult to identify. Lays 4-6 white eggs in April-May. The nesting period is about 13 days, and the young leave the nest about 14 days after hatching. The nest is being targeted for parasitism from Indian Cuckoo and Oriental Cuckoo.
Characteristic
The upper body is yellowish brown with strong yellow tone. The head is darker than the back and has a greenish gray center line. There is a yellowish white line at the tip of big wing covert. (Some specimen have a faint white line on the center wing covert). Eyebrow line is yellowish white. The underside of the body is white and the side is greenish brown. The upper part is dark brown and the lower part is orange. Lower tail coverts is yellow. Legs are brown.
Similar species
Arctic Warbler : The top of the body is uniform green. The head is slightly darker than orange and has no centerline. The first wing feathers protrude long. The lower end is black. There is a yellowish white on the underside of the body.
Pale-legged Leaf Warbler : The head is uniform in color and dark greyish brown. The upper part of the lower beak looks dark. Lower tail coverts are white.
